Your RTX 4090 is beast GPU even for 4K. Alan Wake 2 is good game but also newest benchmark for GPU testing. You should try Doom Eternal, Devil May Cry 5, Resident Evil 2 Remake, Death Stranding, Ghost of Tsushima. These games look great, play great and show true power of your RTX 4090. Besides many games now are still bad console ports.

The true problem with this GPU is there are about 9 GPUs that either way outperform it at the same price or perform the same or better for less money. At it's current price, buying it is equal to ripping yourself off for no justifiable reason.

Very nice card. If only the price was lower on these 16GB RTX 4060 TI's. Here in Norway they just don't make sense for the price. They are around the same price as RX 7800 XT. This is why I went for the RX 7800 XT. And have a regular RTX 4060 8GB in my secondary rig. As it is now, anything in-between RTX 4060/RX 7600 and RTX 4070/RX 7800 XT just don't make sense with regards to price to performance.

What's your choice? Compact GPU or HUGE-cooler GPU?

AMD makes more sense IMHO for (almost) the whole line-up. 4080S only has 16gb vram wich makes it irrelevant in my opinion HWU made a video and Cyberpunk 4k all ultra already uses more than 16gb go figure how it will age.. Only DLSS is a pro for me. RT will be overshadowed with nanite and other simulated RT imho. Only nvidia GPUs wich make a little sense is the 4090 because its a beast and has 24gb of VRAM but have fun spending 1600-2500 euros.. RX 7900XTX is much better at 900ish euro and 24gb of VRAM and is as fast as 4080S in almost every way except RT.

The 4070ti super is absolutely a 4k card especiall if the 3090ti is. As all creators said it was last generstion. When i can play 90% of games at 80fps+ in 4k its a 4k card. Idc about alan wake results we can play at 55 to 60fps and enjoy ans again thats on the most demanding game made. So how tf is it not a 4k card guys? Make it make sense? Dall for the sales pitch of the 4080? Sure i want one but you dont need it to enjoy insane 4k gaming. Everytime im told things by creators i end up getting blown away by pcs and see results and wrigh them out. I dont go by 1 game to determine what it is.. Not talking about you btw just most content creators in general. I think the way things are worded and tested are ridiculous. It should be based on the most popular and played games not the most horribly optimized and demanding games.

I have a 6700XT 12GB and prefer UE5's temporal upscaling vs both FSR"3" upscaling and Intel Xess in that game. I've actually found myself using UE5's temporal upscaling in most games. The Callisto Protocol is another one. I just can't remember all the UE5 games I've played and remember how they all looked. But I'm actually considering getting the 7900GRE as an upgrade to my 6700XT though. I just ain't paying $300+ for equal performance from an Nvidia card. A 7900GRE should handle most all games on my 1440p monitor at native resolution. Plus, I have a 5900x, not a Zen 4 CPU and not an x3D CPU. Although I almost talked myself into selling this 5900x and getting a 5700x3D or 5800x3D but decided not to. I know there's nothing I can do to make my 5900x perform like a 5700x3D in games, BUT... I do have it tuned in quite well, with good PBO settings, +150mhz boost, per core Curve Optimizer and, the important part, 2x16GB DDR4 @ 3666 C16 (IF 1:1 @ 1833mhz) dual rank RAM with fully tuned sub timings. So, I'm not close to x3D power, but I am above and beyond your average 5900x performance thanks to the dual rank RAM. And the main reason I talked myself out of going with a 5700x3D/5800x3D is because the gains weren't really that much when gaming at 1440p max settings on powerful cards like the 6950XT (the card I was first considering). They have the ABILITY to blow away a non-x3D CPU IF you're running 1080p or something, but it SEEMED like the vast majority of games at 1440p Ultra/Max, the x3D CPUs rarely got more than an extra 4fps. That's what I saw. I have a feeling they'd do better in BF 2042, though... as my GPU only pulls 160-165 watts in that game whereas it usually pulls 180-195 watts in well optimized games. But it's also a VERY thread heavy game. I average around 65% of my 5900x use in 128 player servers lol, OR closer to 50% in HWiNFO64 CPU usage. There's CPU Utility (Task Manager number) vs Usage (apparently the real CPU usage).

The replacement one seems to behaving itself. I have a AOC 27" G3X which is 4k, i am playing Ghost Of Tsushima thanks to watching you play it, it looks amazing at 4k. I am using the settings the game set up I must try changing things sometime, I am in the 70's fps so happy with that. Chris

I have an RTX 4060 8GB (non ti) on my secondary computer. Thus far I think it works well for 1440p. Using upscaling and stuff. Yes, after getting a 1440p 165Hz FreeSync monitor on my primary computer I just had to have one more for my secondary setup. Couldn't stand 1080p 60Hz anymore after tasting these new 1440p screens :P Done some undervolting aswell so I stay under 100 Watts at full load and rarely goes over 72 Celcius at full load. Nice little card. No problem staying under 8GB Vram usage. Just turning down a few settings. No need to run everything at ultra.

I got the Rtx 4060 a week ago, the non "ti" version. Personally, i absolutely love it. My first gaming PC too. Got a PS5. Haven't touched the PS5 since😂. The Rtx 4060 lacks memory, maybe, but it's a great card. This one, i would buy in a heartbeat, but the price difference was just too big here where i live. Great video brother.

Always rolled with the 6s in any gpu. They are mid level tier and all u need to run the latest games anyways. They might be not be strong as the 7 or 8 but it gives u enough power to realize it’s not a low end card.

If it had at least a 192-bit memory bus (like the RTX 3060 ti, which I currently use), I'm thinking it would not have been necessary to use DLSS to achieve those same results. A samsung 990 pro w/ heat sink 4tb m.2-2280 PCie 4.0x4 nvme ssd for storage. And finally a thermaltake toughpower gf a3 snow 850 w 80+ gold certified fully modular atx power supply. This comparison is a tiny bit misleading, because you're relying on the game's graphical presets. I'm presently playing HFW on a slightly downvolted RTX 3060 12gb, at 1080p. By researching which specific graphical settings are actually worth raising, and which ones are just wasting resources, I can get a steady 70-75 FPS pretty much everywhere with absolutely gorgeous graphics. And as for those 12gb of VRAM, they allow you to play with higher resolution textures which makes a big difference in graphical detail. And besides gaming, those 12gb come in handy for tinkering with AI image generation software, like Stable Diffusion.

It's a decent performance, especially at 4k, for a mid range GPU. Also considering the GPU's power efficiency and temperatures, I'd say not bad.

I chose the 4060 simply because of the low heat and low power draw. It is absolutely paramount in sff build. People shit on frame gen, but it's an absolute dream in racing/sim games. But if you play mostly fps games, then it's dogshit.

also, do you not know about the overlay alt+r? I believe even though frame generation isn't an option on game, using the overlay you can get driver based upscaling and frame generation in games that don't offer them in the gui.

Disabling Anti-Lag or Reflex should remove the stuttering frame time and crashes for FSR 3 frame generation.

Did you do anything to your POV footage? I usually get motion sickness on any 1st person video, but your footage didn't trigger it. Maybe it has to do with the stabilization or how smoothly it moves. Regardless, great video!
